All news outlets refer to it as Season 14, but I think King of the Hill gets a pass because it actually uses its revival to shake things up and tell new stories it never could during its original 13-year run. Do you think these shows can subsist entirely off the diehard toonautist audience for the next 10-15 years? Genuinely I cant imagine anyone else watch by then. People barely watch now. Year over year Simpsons loses viewers. Atleast in the cases of South Park, Family Guy, and American Dad different demographics prop up the ratings. Fujos and Gen X'er are the loadbearers of SP, Family Guy remains eternally relevant through clips and memes ala Spongebob, and American Dad has undergone a strange postironic reinvention, but there is nothing left to say with the Simpsons short of maybe a sequel to the nearly 20 year old movie. Even that doesnt feel like a guaranteed hit unless it relied heavily on Bartmania nostalgia or something. Just let Simpsons die.

I'm in the middle of season 11 of Bob's Burgers right now, I only started watching it recently (I don't watch TV so I don't see a lot of stuff while it's airing) but I'm still enjoying it.

I see what people mean about it losing its edge a bit (it seems a bit too reasonable to characters who do bad shit now, or always has them apologise for it) but I still enjoy the characters and find most of the jokes funny, plus I like that it's a show about an actual poorfag family and the schoolkids all act like believable kids.
