Change Cindy's pheromone thing. its only a minor attractant at best and the rest is up to her own charisma and charm.
The sex part comes from Ezekiel working with Warren to trap Peter and use a wide range of drugs to enhance his libido and mess with his mental state to force him to rape Cindy repeatedly. Ezekiel also takes turns with her.
All so Ezekiel can make the perfect super soldiers against The Inheritors.
After several miscarriages and 2 babies born with "disabilities" the plan is scrapped and they're deemed nonviable.
Warren tries to salvage the project by taking samples to create his own spider warriors.
Peter can't really talk about what happened with anyone since he doesn't have many people in his life. He tries to quietly support Cindy and the babies. She doesn't blame him for what happened only that he's not around to help her with taking care of them because of his guilt.

The disabilities are that they're basically lower grade versions of their parents when they should've been Superior Spider-Men(teehee)

ok, so. Xentric is kind of a massive sprawling mess because my brain decided to fuck me over in every direction. Anyways, here's the gist of it:
>school focused, think New Mutants and Academy X
>mutants are specifically a disability allegory rather than a catchall minority
and a quick plot summary for the core conflict of Year 1:

Neophyte team on a mission, nobody expects a hostage- never mind a severely injured one- and when the hostage turns out to be a normal human, their instructor tells them to just “patch him up and let him go” because this isn't in the X-Men's wheelhouse, right?? The team abandons the hostage, who is *missing most of his body,* at a hospital. The hostage later gets recruited by an anti-mutant hate group, who give him some cyborg bits and send him to the Institute. Cyborg guy blows himself up, which pours gasoline onto the embers of a growing conflict between some of the students, which has now escalated to an all-out fight.

pretty much every X-kid is on the table but the core group is the 2000s debuts with a few borrowed 2010s favorites... and a metric fuck ton of OCs.

to break it down further:
the focus is on the 10th graders. the 10th graders are a mix of OCs and characters from New X-Men and Wolverine & the X-Men(just Eye-Boy and Nature Girl).
The 11th grade class consists largely of the less important Academy X crowd(think DJ, Preview, etc) and some stray 2010s characters(Tempus, etc), and some more OCs. They're not really important.
The secondary focus is on the 12th graders, aka all of the actually important Academy X kids(X-23, Prodigy, Pixie, etc) and any supporting ones closely associated with them.
The 9th grade is the least important and is pretty much a grab bag of random teen characters who're on the younger side. Squid-Boy and the like. And some more OCs of course. So far there's no OCs in the 12th grade...yet.

Oh yeah, and the middle school class. Mostly OCs with a few familiar faces like Leech and Artie, and Gabby. Not important for much more than set dressing, although Bradley(plastic-kinetic whatever it's called) might be one of the most powerful mutants alive so who knows, maybe they'll be relevant in the future. Or at least Bradley and his bestie Carmen might be.

Year 2 plot: Year 2: main characters are back in the school- except now they're stuck in a probational class, under the watchful eye of one of the new teachers. (Does he even have any eyes under that helmet??)
There's a growing unrest and a slow dissolution of trust at the Institute. Someone has infiltrated the Institute under an assumed identity, and one of the new teachers is up to no good. Constant emergency meetings leave the students and trainees alike unsupervised a little too often, which is not a good thing in this kind of climate. Tension, tension, tension, and some delving into the life of mutants outside the school. Morlocks, the Neo-Brotherhood, etc.

OH YEAH THE GRADUATES. pretty important, whoops. The freshest batch of graduates is a HELL of a grab bag- 7 2000s characters, each from different titles. 2 from Astonishing(Armor and Blindfold), 1 from New X-Men(Negasonic), 1 from Young X-Men(Cipher), and 3 from entirely different canons- 2 Ultimate Universe originals(Guardian and Mach Two) and Spyke from Evolution. Rounding out the team is a random 2020s character(Escapade) because silly gimmick powers are fun and I didn't know where else to put her. There's gonna be more, this is just who I have so far. the specific trainee squad that's involved in the plot catalyst is Armor, Spyke, Accel(Mach Two), Vanguard(Guardian), and some others, I need to figure out who.

BACKGROUND LORE:

The global mutant population is a couple million. The majority of mutants have minor, mundane, and largely undetectable or easy-to-hide mutations. It's not uncommon for these to be something that can be mistaken for a mundane congenital abnormality, i.e. polydactyly. Otherwise it's just stuff like horns or weirdly colored skin or whatever else have you, or very small-scale superpowers. Joe Mutant isn't a walking nuke, he's a guy who can breath underwater. Anti-mutant bigotry is largely the "eww they're weird" kind of bigotry and not the genocide kind. Key word: largely.

Because I'm trying to move more people out of New York, the Institute is in a small town in New Hampshire. The town has become somewhat of a safe haven for mutants. Cozy college town vibes, although it's not without its problems.
Openly, the school is a boarding school that's touted as being for "gifted" kids. Most of the public thinks it's a sped school.

I'm back. Year 3 is...well, I haven't even finished Year 1 so understandably it isn't much yet. I plan for this to be when the X-Men really start interacting with the other supers. Also, aliens. There will be aliens. A full-fledged invasion, in fact. And some non-invasive aliens heading to Earth as well, 'cause Earth's not the only planet getting invaded. And I do love me a good cosmic X-Men story, so we'll probably go off-planet as well.

I have this idea for an elseworld where MODOK invents a disease that fuses technology and biological life, and he uses it to create a sorta zombie apocalypse type scenario where people fuse to whatever appliances or machines are around when they get the virus, and it results in all kinds of weird takes on the heroes.
>Spiderman fuses with his webslingers, which fuse with his arms and extend out into long stilt-like arms, which he balances on while using his legs as regular arms. His head fuses with a camera and recesses a bit into his shoulders.
>Iron-Man fuses with his suit, and its weapons sink into his flesh. A.I.M. manages to steal his other armors, which they forcibly fuse to various low-tier villains.
>Professor X fuses with not just Cerebro, but the entire room that holds it. He flies around in his giant metal orb, trying to find mutants, as Cerebro's programming has overwritten his own personality. Nobody knows what Professor X does to the mutants he finds, but he seems to be transporting them back to the X-Mansion.
>The Fantastic Four tries to escape into space before the virus reaches them, but the disease had already infected each of them, only lying in a dormant state as it evolved to try and integrate itself into the Four's freakish physiologies. Mr. Fantastic ends up fusing with an unfinished Time-Machine, which he had planned to use to send the cure for the virus back in time once it was finished. Unfortunately, that's out of the picture, and Reed's body is chronologically displaced, causing his body to clip into itself, his limbs to move at different speeds or in different directions through time, and various other horrible things. Johnny Storm fuses with the engine of the rocket ship, which he's actually pretty okay with, The Thing fuses with H.E.R.B.I.E. and Sue fuses with the various microscopes and telescopes on the ship. And some lasers.

Take every hero that for reasons is stuck in that period and have them form a team, their main enemies will be Hydra trying to reorganize and conquer the world again but as time passes new villain will appear around the world. They will be around until the late 70s so there's still some decades of nothing before the current superhero era, some heroes and villain will be connected to ones from the old era.
