>Everyone else sounds like some fucker off the street reading lines off a script.
And that's one of the biggest sore spots of the pilot: The voiceacting is souless because there's not enough voice "acting". The 2 mains talk like they just read the script for the 1st time without any practicing, so they kept emphasizing at the wrong phrases and disrupting the flow of conversation, and for a supposedly "mature" show, they speak like teenagers that came from a children show, but with every "heck" and "butt" replaced with a "shit" and "fuck".
They also talk way too directly about the plot of the show, when in reality, "best friends" like them should often just bantz and bullshit each other inbetween plot-related lines. So when everything about the pilot contributes to the worldbuilding, sounds, setting, artwork, atmosphere, the dialogue comes off like a stageplay and ruins the immersion.
I mean I could expect them to improve when the "Pilot" inevitable turns into Ep. 1, but I have a sneaking feeling everyone may have to get used to this in the future.
