I've been recommending movies and cartoons for years, typically I'll get an anon or two curious about what I'm suggesting. Depends on the thread and the material, I try to post in threads with less replies because those are the threads that tend to have topics I'm interested in.

Not sure about series, but there have been lots of overlooked movies that came out in that time. You can tell how little this board cared, by them hailing Fixed as the savior of 2D movies before it came out.

What titles would you recommend? I mostly had European examples in mind. Ernest and Celestine, the stuff the Secret of Kells people have produced over the last few years, Klaus, etc.

Well, honestly i can also only name European ones. Mars Express, Summit of the Gods, Four Souls of Coyote, Ruben Brandt: Collector, White Plastic Sky, Pelikan Blue.
I'm not sure if it's out in english yet, but there has also been this movie this year that was a project scrapped in 70s and brought to life by the director's students after his death:

Also recently watched Manieggs for the first time ever, it's a really stupid but fun movie, i don't get why it's rated so low on imdb. Although it's from 2014 so that was more than 10 years ago.

Every time I've tried to talk about European animation the thread gets like 4 replies and dies while the latest American slop gets a million dissection threads and/or spam loli thirst threads no matter how shitty it is, it's bleak.

As for the "buy an ad" guys, I genuinely don't understand it given that this is a board specifically for the purpose of sharing and talking about animation, lol. If you try to be vague and non-ad you get hit with the "post your stuff then, OP" instead.

Many things are so overlooked, or maybe deliberately ignored by this board. The creative process behind the designs alone would worth a mention in all the threads complaining about cartoons looking the same, but of course if not for their coomability, designs don't generate interest here.

For a recommendation, apparently the english dub of The Mysteries of Providence has been found. Or at least most of it. Dubbing sounds kinda lame, but if you haven't seen it and want a creepy mystery show then go for it.
