I saw it more as Disney the Corporation/entertainment industry is bad, but it still produces art that genuinely inspires people and that art is worth protecting/reclaiming.
Though who knows how the story/ relationship with Gwen will progress and whether it will keep Gwen in this current reprogrammed T-800 protector role.

I think this story would work better as a movie than a series though, as the world seems too small and I can't see these two leads carrying a whole season around such an isolated dilemma.

eh, kinda meh, animation is nice for an indie thing, voice acting is decent, some decent characters, but the plot just kinda drags, the world building is pretty bad and the whole "DISNEY EVIL" is so on the nose and shallow it end up not saying anything. one thing that stands out about the pilot when compared to other glitch shows is that the storyboard team is completely different: most glitch shows have a mostly consistent (with the occasional change) storyboard team with some extra involvement from the show creator's (for example, on TADC the storyboard artists are working off of rough thumbnail boards done by Gooseworx). But for KOG the storyboard team was straight up just Dana (as lead) and Zach Marcus (one of the other two co-creators, was a staff writer on TOH and prior to that a storyboard artist on Star vs)

It's decent, but not MD or Digital Circus numbers. This and Gaslight are the lesser known series (outside of the meta runner crap they had before). I like Gaslight considerably more, but the owlshitters bootlickers will push this to 20M faster than the previous one.
It's impressive for an indie show if you pretend it's not on Glitch. But then again, it being on their channel also gives them a push to begin with, and the fact it can't even capitalize on all that 24 hours in is not a great sign. Still, Glitch is all up Dana's ass so even if it flops at 10M after a month (doubtful) they will greenlit it.
The only good thing is that 2D animation takes a while and we will never see an episode in at least 2 years, so we don't have to deal with this whole nonsense for a while. Gaslight is gonna get going before this ever comes back as the creator already said they're just waiting for TADC to finish.

The "it's a pilot and we will only turn it into a full show if it's successful" pitch is more of a marketing posturing. Worst case scenario is, would the viewership be abysmal, they would simply pull the plug now and not do more.

The Pilot felt mid and could have been done better. The only characters that really interest me is Orville, Gwen and Olivia. Frankie feels like Dana had overly butchified her when Frankie should probably have more of a body type like Jasper from Steven Universe or slightly like Opal's body type. I wish the Pilot showed more of Andi's work as well as other Crownie's jobs as well. Even it's for plot convenience sake Frankie and Andi really shouldn't have gotten scott free from Sparky and his crew. The creators should have just created a scenario were Frankie and Andi stumble upon a Gwen, Hide it for the meantime and then come back for it. It sucks that the Gwen vs Titan Knight fight hadn't been shown visually simply to save the surprising discoveries of Gwen for later episodes, though hopefully the creators have already figured out how to streamline and tighten up the story for future episodes.

That's not how it works anon. Glitch also put a lot of eggs into Gaslight District, and while it got greenlit, the creator has admitted they can't move on until TADC is over. I agree with you that the whole "pilot" thing is a marketing ploy, but while greenlighting a whole series for Knights is guaranteed, that doesn't mean they are working on episodes now. They're surely preparing storyboards and concept art for the whole show, that's for sure, but they are not the type to fully animate multiple episodes early on. Otherwise we'd have gotten something for Gaslight already.

If we are making a owl house comparison, she's the only one that actually feel the awe that the park and its creations are meant to inspire. It's just Dana Terrace's thinly veiled unfocused seething about her time at Disney (despite them being the reason she even got out of the "literal who" zone via Owl House). It has the subtlety of a Ben Garrison cartoon; the blue-blood is baby's first societal critique metaphor.

I do definitely think there's some symbolism to it, but its also just how blood should work, some animations shy away from showing the blood actually spilling out. A character might wipe some away and leave a smear or just have a little red cut line that for some reason doesn't actually bleed. This correctly shows that once out blood is going to spill like paint and just get everywhere that gravity takes its.
Honestly I'd say they're still being fairly tame with it too, with an eviscerating wound like that it probably should have spilled all down her legs and she was standing in it so it should've been allover her feet as well.
