Not gonna lie, I had a pretty badass Ash Ketchum costume as a little kid. My awesome mom put so much work into it, even got the same hat.

I also dresses up as the Grim Reaper one but with a black covered cloth in the hood so I looked like a Nazghul from LotR.

much as I love Halloween, neither me nor my folks were all that skilled at making costumes, so I never went in anything all that impressive. most unique was a zombie knight costume cobbled together from two previous years' costumes: flimsy plastic knight helmet, sword and shield, plus a bloodied t-shirt turned into a crusader tunic with a belt and a red duct tape cross. threw on a rubber skull mask under the helmet to complete the look.

Well it depends, if we're going the traditional monster girl route that just changes a fantasy monster into a coomfu then none. Frankly the whole waifu bestiary is played out, as much as it is kino. I would want to turn focus on real modern lore and spooks as inspiration for monsters to pick my bone with. Greek, Germanic and "oriental" folklore have been strip mined of monsters to waifuize. I loved your streams last week. I just feel that it should be 2/3 animation (using /a/ and /co/ shit), and 1/3 live action. Not the other way around. Yes, all out horror /co/ shit is rare, and most /a/ horror is tryhard, but there are plenty of Halloween friendly cartoons in both ends. I personally would include live action shit that was aired with Nickelodeon and Disney, not only campy and B movie live action. Throw in old and new anthology shows, like Twilight Zone, Outer Limits, Ultra Q, The Storyteller, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Eerie Indiana, Goosebumps, Haunting Hour, etc. Play more TV specials. I've seen shorts and episodes play on your stream, but not a special like Halloween is Grinch Night or It's the Great Pumpkin. Quackbusters is a good compilation from Jones era Looney Tunes. Look into more Latin / European stuff, they animate horror, too. La Casa Lobo is stop motion horror from Chile. It has an official English release out there.

This is probably the only place people would know, but does anyone remember a weird flash animated horror series from the mid 2000s where all of the stories were happening simultaneously? I remember one of the shorts being a guy trying to get away from a blind pig man only to get killed in the end because his phone rings.

I appreciate the feedback. The major issue I find is that there aren't a lot of animated movies with spooky enough content without recycling them over and over, so your suggestions to look into foreign animation for future streams is an excellent idea. And like the other anon said, many classic Halloween specials end up being played during my all-day Halloween stream, including Grinch, Garfield and Charlie Brown.

Can someone help me find a horror western comic?

It was an anthology of short scary stories loosely connected. One specific story I remember was a hotel that had an impossible haunted room (it exists somewhere between rooms that doesn't have the space). Another story had them going down a well and there were monsters attacking them from the brick walls I think?

You guys have probably seen it many times by now but Coraline is always nice this time of year.

I'm just going to say it I think Doug's Halloween adventure is a highly underrated Halloween special. I know /co/ likes to make fun of the series and it's a relatively mid show but damn the Halloween special is so good. It's got a really fun and unique concept with the haunted house turned ride. Doug has a good character arc for the episode. It really does a good job of creating a spooky october atmosphere. It's excellently paced and feels really feels jammed with fun ideas and set pieces. It's a special I have to watch every year.

Underfist and Super-Beasto.

Beasto's grown into a cult classic over the years but somehow never grew beyond that. The same people who liked Beasto when it came out are the people who like it now. It's one of my favorite animated films of the century. Frankly, aside from the tits and gore, Underfist shares alot of the same core elements of Beasto. Campy saturday morning schlock with a heavy helping of exaggerated cartoon slapstick, witty comedy, and tons of action. Atleast Beasto gets praise, I feel like Underfist is still pretty divisive even now. B&M diehards dislike it because its so distinct from the golden age of the original show and casuals dont like it because its too much like B&M. I guess it's a pilot made for me and the 5 other Evil Con Carne fags.

The FOP halloween special remains one of my all time favorites. I never get tired of the "everybody becomes their costumes" gimmick. Simpsons did that gag around that same time too. It was fun until everyone got turned into a pacifier.

I tolerate Underfist solely because Hoss Delgado and General Skaar are hilarious. The rest of it is very underwhelming, stupid and gross, but any time those two guys are on screen, it really picks up.

I like Underfist a lot, but after all these years I've come to realize I'm glad it didn't get picked up. I don't care how much executives liked him, Fred Fredburger fucking sucks and having him as a main character of Underfist's full show would've become grating just as quickly as it did in the special, which is to say 11 minutes tops.

Replace him (or just make it a 4-man team) and everything would be mostly alright, but Skarr and Hoss are still definitely the only really good picks for the cast. I don't hate Irwin but he's not interesting enough to be a fun main character. Jeff the Spider is always funny in B&M, but sucks in Underfist where he's just Fred's best friend and should definitely have gotten better material to work with in the full show, or also just gotten replaced/removed.

Last year while we were streaming Underfist, people in chat suggested Nergal Jr. as the "kid with supernatural powers" member of the team, and I honestly like that idea

I always hear people make this point, and I'm not trying to invalidate the criticism, but I'm personally not bothered by Fredburger. Could there have been less of him? Sure, but the core premise just works so well I can forgive him being there at all. Similarly you see alot of complaints leveled at Irwin but I honestly believe he shines in Underfist. Had the show gotten made I suspect Irwin would have continued to grow for the better. His ark in the movie is finding his balls and learning how to stop being a crybaby, and I'd say he succeeds by the end.

If we're throwing around potential solutions and alterations however, I'd have gladly taken Major Ghastly and Nergal Jr in the places of Jeff and Fred. Thing is the show writers had long forgotten those two by the time Underfist came about. B&M fags often point out the distinctions between the Atomd era of the series and the Greenblatt era, and Underfist is overtly a product of the latter.

I finally got around watching that newish Wednesday series, it was good, but it really made me feel like everyone who's been shipping Wednesday and Enid is kinda delusional. They had a very interesting dynamic, but I sure as hell wouldn't call it romantic.

Also, no one asked for this, but I really gotta elaborate on how I see their relationship, using Simpsons as a comparison of course.
To me, Wednesday and Enid are kinda like Homer and Flanders, and to a lesser extent Bart and Milhouse.
Wednesday is basically the Bart/Homer of the relationship, a brash troublemaking leader who takes advantage of their friend, seemingly doesn't care about them and can even be an outright asshole at times. While Enid is the Milhouse/Flanders, a follower who's too nice for their own good and will always try to do good for their friend no matter what, even if that friend doesn't share the same enthusiasm.
I'd say they're more like Homer/Flanders in the sense that they don't really have any common interests and don't normally hang out, but they are there for each other to help at their lowest moments.
Sure Enid tries to reach out multiple times, but Wednesday only ever plays along when she has some ulterior motives, and those usually involve ignoring Enid to go do something else.
However, while Wednesday doesn't seem to like hanging out with Enid, she DOES like Enid, being particularly protective of her and seriously wanting her to be safe and happy.
Something else that made me think of Homer and Flander is how they both don't fully approve of each other's way of life, with Wednesday making it clear multiple times she looks down on Enid's basic bitch attitude, and even Enid wishing Wednesday was a bit less Wednesday at times.
All this to say that like Homer and Flanders, Wednesday and Enid feel more like siblings than friends to me.

I believe Mad Monster Party is considered the best of the trilogy. I actually watched the one you posted, and it gets to be a painful watch at times. All the magic that made MMP? so good to begin with pretty much evaporates long before the sequels see the light of dsy. The only real brightspot in Mad Mad Mad Monsters was how cute they made Frankenstein's bride. I dont believe I've ever seen the third one, but judging off how poor the 2nd was I dont have high hopes. I've seen both, they are definitively the worst pieces of Addams media ever made. Just about everything you can consider bad in an animatrd film is present in them, from cheap stiff sub-illumination tier animation, to incessant use of pop songs, to needless celeb VAs. The majority of the character designs are hideous and look more at home in an episode of Fanboy and Chum Chum over anything Addams family. Even the Saban movies/tv series is miles better.

Frankly I suspect the success of that duology directly led to the current glut of soulless animated IP reboots like Garfield, Marmaduke, Rhianna's Smurfs, etc. They proved you dont have to give a shit in the least as long as you have a recognizable name.

Next, 80 years ago, the most famous ghost in animation debuted on the silver screen, and 30 years ago, he returned to theaters in a way no one had seen before. The Casper movie wasn't too crazy, and honestly could've been streamlined and tightened up a LOT more, but it was a interesting flick and it was neat revisiting it after more than a decade. I will say though it was a GREAT group watch, had some really hard laughs throughout the thing thanks to the peanut gallery.

I'm enjoying the original sitcom so far, feels pretty modern for something made in the 60s, but the best part for me probably has to be recognizing certain set pieces that made it into Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt GB.
You guys don't understand how much I played that darn game as a kid, so seeing the inspirations for certain game elements in kinda surreal, like, I had no fucking idea the bear rug was named Bruno, or that the signs in the secret room were a reference to Pugsley's room, I just thought it was kinda telling the player to stop looking for secrets or something.
Also, as a side note, I really like how Pugsley's room has a bunch of traffic signs, that's some neat environmental storytelling.

It took me 10 days, but I think I managed to watch every quintessential animated Halloween episode, special, and movie on American television.

Reminder there is an Edward Scissorhands comic book sequel. It's... okay. Which is actually saying a lot considering Kate Leth was the writer. It just doesn't really do anything groundbreaking as a follow up to the movie. It's only 10 issues so looking into it for a read wouldn't hurt.
