Terriful is set to return in January with five rewritten issues, followed by the Crisis crossover, then straight into the new series, now named "Terriful Vol. 2". I'm aiming to have it be more episodic as opposed to le deep and epic narrative that I tried before.

And yes, I'd like to get back into doing real crossovers again at some point. Nothing like I did before where it's muh edgy OC is so epic try to stop him. Been reading a lot of DC/Marvel and seeing how they did crossovers with respect to each property.

I think Terriful this time around will "work" (better) because instead of chasing pop culture trends using him as a outlet, I'm trying to focus more on his interactions and struggles in the world I've made him be in. I see him more like Archie Mega Man. He's this newer hero, trying to keep the peace in a world where the two dominant species are at their breaking point.

Instead of treating him like Deadpool, (and spoiler alert! Terriful is no longer self aware) I'm trying to treat him as an amateur hero that's trying to do good but still has a long way to go.

Yes, Terriful (as was presented previously) 100% DOES NOT WORK. I believe there's an audience out there for Terriful, and these redux things are moreso me getting a re-feel for my own characters. Which is why even those who don't read my redux are able to start with the new series and get a good introduction into Terriful, his struggles, and the world he lives in which is more than I ever did before.

I learned a new technique many probably have done but needs to be said. I can work on any page I want if it’s already thumbnailed. I don’t need to work on chronological order and if I don’t feel like working on the next page I can just look for the next closest one I like to do. Also going to search for actual pencil pages to begin to do actual penciling.

Crossovers are weak. They're never interesting or used to tell a good story, they're just "what if different things I liked were together. " It's more key- jangling than writing. In a medium where you can do whatever you want, it's baffling that there are people trying to emulate the worst aspects of the big two.

I’ve been converting the original files from the first 46 episodes of my comic, changing them from .sai2 to .psd format.

Since my chapters are vertical and I always split them into 3 or 4 parts, it was hell, I wanted to kill myself halfway through, but it's finally done.

There’s a new independent publisher in the spanish speaking comic/manga community that I want to send my comic to, and for that I need to translate my chapters and tweak a few minor things.

I already spent almost three years manually formatting text in sai2, I had enough for a life, I'm in a better place now.

Well the specific premise of switching between worlds is unique enough, just don't add any RPG stats.
First of all a rope people are really tired of is slavery, more specifically when the main character buys and owns slaves, more specifically female slaves for fanservice, male slaves should also be avoided, i only brought up the females specifically because every isekai only has female slaves.
In fact fanservice in general has become a hot topic in the isekai community as the genre has become more about selling over priced figures to anime girl addicts instead of being focused on any actual plots, stories or the characters themselves.
Also don't have your hero be a high school student, especially not a pretty or just an average looking dude.
Romance is pretty frowned upon by isekai fans as well but only due to how it's handled. Basically if you want to add romance don't make the main character a chick magnet where every single female wants his babies, basically no harems, just give the main character a single romantic interest and stick with her. Don't make anything messy either, isekai fans do not appreciate heartbreak.
And don't make the main character overpowered, don't have him be the one who always wins no matter what be it in battle or any other disbute. Don't be afraid to have you main character loose or in the need of saving once in a while.
That's all the advice i have for you to avoid isekai traits people are tired of. Good luck Anon, i believe in you.

I guess in the broad sense or what I’m working on currently. I’ll say that it’s a part of a series that I want to write but for now it’s just a one shot of an arc that I’ve been playing in my head over and over again.

In the broad sense, you have a boy named Juan Diego who is looking to go to a Gold Rush he heard about and pay back a town he accidentally destroyed. Along with him come Brave Horse, a talking horse alien and Phillip a boxing pretty boy. They decide to join him for their own reason. The main inspiration is early Dragon Ball, so it’s a group of friends kinda dicking around and helping people when any conflicts cross their path. It’s also a Western set in Space. Very specific. Don’t expect sci fi stuff with Western themes but a Western with Aliens.

As for the one shot, basically the 3 are going on a train that just so happened to be the target of a heist by a bandit gang led by Señora Carmen. They fight there way to stop the train from being robbed.

Thats all. Here’s a little something I made for it of a character that kind of started it or rather made me want to actually make it a thing.

Going to give cosmic crush another run. Full color burned me out and took too long so I'm going to do it in black and white going forward, and will ink it with gpen. Cool. I remember reading the manga thanks to J-Stars Victory Vs. I never finished it and ended up dropping it, not because it's bad or i didn't like it, i just had trouble keeping up with manga back then, still do to an extent.
Ironically enough reading the manga i started writing a fanfic in my head where Koro-sensei fights a Mexican man, led to a video game idea about a man in Mexico who could turn into an chupacabra, but that went nowhere. I didn't even know what a chupacabra was back then so i just created a Mexican bigfoot and called it a chupacabra.

I wouldn’t say any one character honestly. I mean I do have inspirations but it’s more their role. Shanks/Blackbeard and Sukuna to an extent. I will say I for whatever reason had Squidward on the mind when thinking of how to work with his multiple legs. But for the most part, I kind of just began to draw him and it came out. I would dare say he’s the most powerful at least active. There’s a guy more powerful but he’s lazy. I’m trying to model him after the cooky mentor stereotype. Yoda for example. But for the life I can’t design him. I think weirdly enough I am worst at designing humans than I do everything else. Since my inclination to draw realistic proportions clashes with my inclination for cartoony proportions. So hard.

Focus on everything you're into these days and keep in mind that no matter what you're into you are never alone in how you feel about anything.
Make what you like and those who share your interests will find you and follow you're work.
Don't worry about what everyone else is into, don't worry about what will make everyone else happy, because as the saying goes, when you try to make everyone happy, you make no one happy, and when it comes to these days with so many contradicting views and opinions of the greater masses, you'll just end up with a contradicting mess.
If you want to broaden your appeal to the public then just start small with one project to get one group interested in your work then make a second project to attract a new group of people, maybe even a companion piece for your first project. Keep doing this and eventually you'll make work for lots and lots of people to enjoy and you will most likely have different fanbases for your different projects crossing over and your work will be responsible for building a community and getting people interested in new things.
Yes it will take a long time, but success should never be rushed, the big names we have today started out small such as DC, Nintendo and even Disney, they all started small and took their time to get as big as they are now.
Never rush to get a big following, don't even take short cuts, it's a much better payoff to take your time and to be patient.

instead of working on the next page of my comic i decided to design the gonermon i haven't designed yet, just chicken scratch mostly, but i did do line art over some of the chicken scratch as you see here. soon i will have a full list of every gonermon. now. lets talk about the lore and general info real quick.
gonermon takes place 100 years in the future, in 2125, and in 2087 the gonermon came to earth in a meteor shower. every gonermon has 4 evolutionary states starting as tadpole like, into fish like, into random type, into 3 foot tall humanoid girl, which is the fully evolved co-pilot version, and yes, always female, if they want to mate it has to be before they hit their fully evolved form. the ones that mate the most before their final female form, make up most of the population, these are starter gonermon making up 90% of the population. Then you have common gonermon making up 80% of the population of gonermon on earth, mostly cat type gonermon, and so on. Mythical gonermon are so rare they make up less than 1% of the population of gonermon on earth. they are non hostile to humans and put out a lot of free energy that is used to power vehicles and homes, even whole cities around the world. their are 33 fully evolved gonermon here, this is all the gonermon that landed on earth. x4 levels of evolution for each gonermon=132 total gonermon i made!

Well to start of with here's a painting i made. It's unfinished. It's a background and i was going to pain a character onto it from an idea i had for a webcomic. The proportions ended up being messed up so i thought i'd just say it was a location made to make the character feel small, a way to turn a mistake into something cool.
I also made a painting of Wuya from Xiaolin Showdown for the Ms. /co/ tournament in 2023 i think but her victory was later out into question and i decided to burn it after becoming more devoted to Christ.

This is Time Weasel, a character i made for /coc/ to be the main rival for the other /coc/ character Witch of the West.
He's a rework of both a Mario and Sonic OC i made when i was working and wanting to make and pitch games to Nintendo and Sega for Wario and Knuckles respectively, but i gave up on those ideas and created Time Weasel to compensate in a way.
So there's two other versions of this character i made before him and this image was made by tracing over an image of the Maro version of the character.
The reason why this character concept was made in the first place is embarrassing but i posted around of of that story on other 4chan boards as well.
He didn't get very far and aside from two pieces of OC wasn't very utilized. Although he was well received.
