Ooof just finished it. Very lackluster. This whole season has had pacing issues but this just felt anti climatic, set up no pay off. Cut half the fat out of the earlier episodes and we could have gotten somewhere. The jokes felt very flat this episode too.

Very weak sauce season. It only doesn't flop with me because it teases the possibility of watching the New Gods on the Superman sequel.

Brainiac is just going to be in an opening montage in MOT where we see Superman's victories since the first movie in a montage. That is why that storyboard scene of Braniac that Gunn shared is in a comic book form. Some kid flips pages and we see Superman taking on different villains in live action in each panel before moving on to the next one.

That being said I don't understand what that has to do with the title "Man of Tomorrow". I assumed its a symbolic title that's meant to be Lex and Superman clashing to see who will be the figure that inspires the future. Obviously the bald mank Lex wants to be that man, while Superman doesn't care about it, but will be that man of the future. I don't think Superman breaking free metahumans from a parallel dimension has anything to do with "Tomorrow"

Why couldn't the whole season be a bunch of antics with the group going on missions? We barely got any Vigilante and Peacemaker interactions. Everyone felt so underused. And from a pure narrative perspective, the finale was garbage with its poor pacing and attempts at being somber.
