crime fiction is more of a boomer thing it feels. People under 40 only like crime fiction if it's about an exceptional non-criminal who gets into crime and does it better than career criminals because they're smart

No, but finding GOOD crime noir is nearly impossible. Most of it retreads the same exact shit without any substance or even a sense of visual style. Instead you get webcomci-tier art and pastel colors.

I wish mafia stuff like Goodfellas or Election worked better in comic form, but i feel like the violence and convos just work better in movies. There are some good ones but i normally dislike it because of how tired the art can feel.
