I don't think they need him nearly as much as he needs them. So i kind of doubt he is hitching up with Glitch unless it's to just a job working on one of their series.

Sucks seeing Monkey Wrench failing to pay off, especially since Zeurel is genuinely skilled. But I think he desperately needed someone to give his pitch a onceover and tell them pointblank that the idea isn't good enough, isn't interesting enough, and isn't marketable enough. With his skills and a good cast of characters and a decent plot, he could've created something truly amazing. Guess the model right now for a successful animated series is a comedy horror show with girl or gay protagonists.

I’ve grown to like the show but can’t see myself throwing money at it just yet. The main two are weird but also boring to look at. The name Monkey Wrench is too obtuse and open up to interpretation that it wouldn’t work as a shirt. The only thing marketable are the bad guys.

it actually hurts my feelings because i remember alot of the old devinart-art spaghetti flash animations he did with beard and shrike and at that time I really really wanted him to do a series with them and to see it flop now really upsets me.
I feel like those kinds of characters cannot really exist in this decade for no other reason than everyone, zureul included has grown out of them.

Same. Monkey Wrench is a technically proficient cartoon and I'm digging the overarching narrative Zeurel's been building up, but I'm still not quite OBSESSED with it just yet. Not sure if I ever will be with those two leads honestly
