Let's be honest, Bendis should be the one writing next year's Superman/Spider-Man crossover

Dc should poach Bendis from Marvel again.

I'll be honest; the current crop of "writers" is so awful and/or forgettable, that I'd genuinely rather read a Bendis book on any character than whatever they're churning out now.

Bendis kill off 616 Peter Parker and have Miles Morales become the official Spider-man of 616 and the only Spider-man of 616.

...I'll be honest, I haven't cared for Peter Parker in nearly 2 decades now. I don't give a single fuck about Spider-Tard. If Bendis wants his token Spider-Black as the tradeoff to write some good stories in other books, it's fine by me. The only Spider-People I care about are Kaine, Miguel and SpOck.

There’s honestly nothing Bendis can do to ruin Spider-man. If he kills him off to replace him with spider-nog again it would be a mercy

Let's be honest, no one today is capable of a writing a good Superman and Spider-man crossover.

>People expect excellence in that book, and I've got to deliver

>While talent will certainly open the door for you, it’s about failing and knowing how to do so properly.

>If you write something you think people will want just to be the person who gives them things they want, you will always fail.

I can't take this guy seriously

in fact I can't take anybody who hired him seriously, there's years and years of quotes of him and this entire self-help book of him talking about how to fail in comics and you look at the shit he's hit "send" on and the way he talks about not feeling any connection to it years later and it is so hard to believe anybody wouldn't immediately realize what a monstrously incompetent fraud he is

the man who killed comics and didn't even care because he got paid

You say this, but he’s no better than anyone in the current crop.

Parker would only be gone until someone decided they needed a sales bump, which would be 18 months tops. They’d likely be plotting his return before they even killed him.

Why not Dan slott? He's currently writing a superman book and had the longest run on Spider-Man

This. I almost feel like OP is someone at Marvel trying in vain to drum up excitement to bring Bendis back but it's not working

I can understand liking his Spiderman.
His daredevil , well , the character was already broken by Kevin Smith, so I guess a generation liking him run instead Nocetti/JMD/Kelly/Kessen ones which were a better follow up for miller.
His first Avengers story was crap and ruined Wanda and Wasp. He then create a serviceable(until dark reign) run that wasn't the avengers except the name. And when siege happened his run runs out of ideas.
And then has a crap mutant run, a crap ironman run , a crap guardians run and a crap moonknight run.
Then he left to DC, I can undertand people liking some of the concept like invisible mafia on liking the Unity saga, but he aged jon, he made a shit legion and in the end the run was a bad follow up that only creates more problem than solution and fucked the sales.
And now he is doing shitty indie comics like pic related.
So no, he is even worse than current writer, he has 2 or 3 memorable comics and nothing more.
