At any given time on nearly every single board half the catalog is inorganic LLM spam (which can be identified as such because twenty threads will effectively bring up the same mundane topic with similar filenames) varied driveby shitposts, and external brigading.
God forbid you try to make an honest, human, fun/cool thread. The schizos will crawl out of their holes, equip their pedophile proxies, and spam you into submission with scat and gore. Maybe the jannies will find it fit to ban YOU instead of them!

Radical antispam, antibrigade, autonomy-preserving technology that'd keep the experience sane for the true userbase is something they could invest in if they really wanted to, and I believe there are ways to make that happen besides bullshit timers and easily deciphered captchas, but they just don't care. The moderators likely spend more time on Discord and Twitter than anywhere here.
Turn off any extensions in a different profile and look at the top of this page. It is very likely that you see a banner promoting some homosexual Discord clique of some faceless psuedo-landlord vulture, shamelessly trying to grow their influence for epeen.
How is this not a circus? I was bitching about problems in 2022 and 2020, but never before has the site been profoundly unfun and unhelpful. When I'm done checking my other imageboards and check what's going on on 4chan, unless I'm looking for porn I expect nothing and am still disappointed.
