The issue is that the entire basis of Dante's universal autism pretty much just comes from Mundus making a "universe" at the end of the game.
Ultima does the same, and Omega in the DLC was also stated to destroy existence and can crush enemies with the fabric of reality.
So basically you can lore merchant Clive to the same powerlevel and then he just has basically all of Dante's abilities plus even more on top of a big fuckoff fire demon that can launch massive fireballs

Kratosura was the product of Production Hell, time crunching, and being rushed to release and barely even completed.
They used Wanktos but very clearly didn't buy it because there was no time to do anything else andwanking Kratos was easier/quicker, and seemed less controversial.
