>Desmond
They practically failed, Desmond smiles because he takes initiative after they've given up on his own and finds purpose.
>Mr. Frog
Again, they practically fail (though that's just as much on Mr. Frog), Mr. Frog only resolves things by apologizing of his own accord (and then eating a dude on live television)
>Shrimp
They luck their way into resolving his issue, if Pim hadn't chosen to take his date to Spaghetti Disco Shrimp would have been fucked.
>Princess
Again they just kind of coincidentally resolved her issue on the way to actually meet her, complete luck.
>Satan
Charlie actually does genuinely succeed, but in an unintended way and by making himself the target of Satan's wrath.
>Gwimbly
Pim actually wasn't on a bad path, the complication was from an intervening third party. Still kind of hard to give him points when things just kind of line up nicely at the end.
>Jimble
Actual success, even if Jimble didn't win the election.
>Psychotic
Their plan wasn't a bad one, Psychotic is just kind of an autistic retard. They end up getting bailed out by a lucky break again.
>Silly Sam
They luck into Sam getting what he wants again.
>Random Critter at start of S3E2
Yeah, they help him out.
>Mr. Frog 2
I mean Pim sets him on the path to reaching inner peace through his family suggestion, so that's technically a point for "Smiling Friends actually helping".
I mean they've never failed a job, but you could count the number of times something they do or suggest actually results in a success without some lucky coincidence on a single hand.
