Nontroversies aside, I doubt it, at least project-wise.
Roiland has had the same 3 jokes throughout his entire career (seriously, go back to the pilots he was pitching, look at his games, look at everything he's been in charge in since R&M, they're all just a different flavor of the same shtick).
Michael alone has been in charge of 3 very tonally different TV shows, not to mention his online stuff.
If they're smart about it, they won't stretch Smiling Friends too thin, and will actually pivot to something different. Them opening up their own studio signals that they're gonna do bigger stuff soon enough.

Well, them establishing their own studio makes it likely they considered a safety-net was needed, at some point. I doubt it though. Zach rarely talks about politics anymore, and his sleepycast and oneyplays clips are more than viral. Zach also has a stable relationship. I know nothing about cusack.

They've already tried to cancel Zach for his decade old opinions and nothing has stuck. Zachs simply a dude from the old internet who used to be edgy in a time when that was completely acceptable and obviously isn't anymore as he grew up.
