Before we begin: I managed to pull a couple of strings and got my pass renewed. Last week was a pretty great showcase in why having the pass is outright necessary when you're storytiming. And at the end of the day, I don't have the time or energy to babysit the autoposter and constantly deal with the dumb captcha and (You) don't want to spend hours to wait for a comic to be posted.

While Gambit is moping here, I guess we can also talk about the X-Men NYCC panel from a few days ago.
>Adjectiveless X-Men, Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine are continuing with no relaunches. Everyone kind of knew that was happening.
>Tony Daniel is back at Marvel and is drawing Adjectiveless X-Men #23-25. Sort of a surprising return given how long it's been since he last did the interiors for a Marvel book. Will they try to get him to write and draw a book? Maybe, who knows.
>Inglorious X-Force ongoing: Might do better than the last attempt at X-Force? Seeley is an okay writer, but doing another X-Force run centured around "the team leader is getting visions of catastrophies" is rather tiresome at this point. Also, didn't Weapon X-Men state that Cable couldn't currently travel through time and was stuck in the present?
>Rogue mini: Eh. Yeah, I get that people have been asking for a Rogue solo now since they're the leader of their X-Men, but I don't have much faith in the writer.
>Magik & Colossus mini: Why is this a miniseries? The Magik ongoing was reportedly one of the better selling FTA titles. To not only replace it with a stand-alone miniseries (despite there being a massive loose plotline left in her ongoing) is such a weird choice.
>Wade Wilson, Deadpool ongoing: Not really feeling this? Sure it's a great creative team, but Percy's writing of Wade wasn't that good in both X-Force and Wolverine, while Deadpool/Wolverine focused so much more on Logan and Apocalypse to the point that it felt like Wade was just tacked on at the last second because Marvel needed an ongoing comic with them following the success of the movie. I also really hope that he stops writing for the trade and does the arc structure that he had when writing X-Force and Wolverine.

Creative team seems alright, but I really can't help but feel like the comic is a response to how people complained that LK: Wolverine didn't involve a lot of the stuff from Laura's previous comics until the very end. Also not a big fan of introducing more new characters, but whatever gets people interested in picking up the titles, I guess.
>Storm, Earth's Mightiest Mutant ongoing: More of the same stuff that we were plagued with last time. Ayodele has stated that this is going to focus more on Storm and not Eternity, which is welcome given how much page time Eternity ended up taking. Now if he only stopped making unnecessary flashbacks and featuring pointless B-plots and detours, we could have ourselves a decent comic.
>Exceptional X-Men is confirmed to be getting a relaunch. Because of the SoT teaser image being an homage to the cover of Avengers: The Initiative #1 was "not a coincidence", it's speculated that this will be the new school book that was teased to be happening following X-Manhunt. If that really is the case, Eve Ewing really needs to switch her writing style away from how she approached Exceptional, given how long it took for that series to have the Exceptional kids fight a villain.

Overall? Much better than the SDCC panel. But Marvel's entire output at NYCC was pretty lacking all things considered. Not because they weren't awful...but because they weren't good enough.
Also, fucking LMAO at the Psylocke: Ninja announcement. Things are really fucking bad when everyone could immediately tell why they didn't choose to announce that until after NYCC was over.

And how can there still be a Rogue existing if Rogue died in Unbreakable X-Men?

X years ago, Sinister was back to his old tricks again and successfully acquired the DNA of hundreds of thousands of mutants with the help of the lifestyle app Verate. But X years later, he has acquired his own strike force! Why have these people decided to work with him? And how long before Sinister decides to fuck them over?

Oh, and this is written by Dave Marquez, the main artist of Uncanny X-Men.

Eternity and the whole abstracts plot is the problem of the book, they end up taking too much page time when the main focus should be the title character
Storm fighting other storm gods should be a very simple plot, but because Ayodele desperately needs to inject his failed G.O.D.S. project stuff it ends up making the story too complicated for its own good
And the man can't fucking write abstracts, he has Oblivion and Infinity fucking job and might have written one of the worst versions of TOBA (even PKJ's version was better)

During the first Age of Revelation teaser back during the Timeslide oneshot (the details of which no longer seem to line up with this event) it looked like Bronze sought out Cable and Bishop because they were time travelling X-Men who somehow managed to make it to the current dystopia
Bronze was there under orders from Jitter

But Bronze's design looks different in Expatriate X-Men and it doesn't sound like she works with Jitter
