Speaking from experience, yes. Don't ever become a nsfw artist, especially not a fetish one. I would've said the same thing before AI became prevalent too. Get a real job, draw silly or meaningful things on a whim and don't stare into the abyss.

In my experience NSFW artists fall into four categories, excluding the more amateur ones

>Treat their art with extreme levels of craftsmanship and care and treat all interactions like they're business transactions
>In the process of going bonkers if they haven't already, sometimes they can recognize they have a problem before it gets out of hand and seek professional help but most don't

All of them have some kind of minor mental illness at the very least even if they fall into the first category. I'm convinced that there has to be something at least somewhat wrong with your brain to be a truly great artist.

I've wanted to draw porn since I was ten years old and nothing else. I don't want to work for DC or Image, I don't want to make a quirky webcomic, I don't want to animate for Disney. I just wanna draw two characters fucking. The fucked up thing is i just can't sit still for more than an hour unless my whole body is involved in something.
