There's no explicit soul resistance in FF16 (you could probably make some kind of argument on how Clive resists Ultima from taking his soul and body at the end of the game, but it's not clear) so yeah Clive is probably fucked. If you want a copium answer we do see that characters from other verses when they 'adjust' into Soul Eater rules translate how strong their determination is into the power of their soul, like how Obi from Fire Force goes from powerless to one of the strongest beings on the planet in Soul Eater, but that wouldn't help Clive in a neutral universe format anyway.
