You're right Doppelganger is I think the one ability Clive straight up doesn't have, but like...that's it. Many of Clive's abilities are literally just straight up upgrades over Dante's Devil Arms (Bahamut over Artemis, Shiva over Beowulf, Ramuh over all of Dante's electric abilities), can summon massive floods with Leviathan, has multiple autoturrets and auto-attacking abilities, can create massive shields that dwarf Royal Guard, has way the fuck more range on AOEs, so on.

Most of Dante's shit is literally just normal guns or explosive weapons with some flavor of elemental shit sprinkled on and a lot of his variety is in his Devil Arms which can be broken.

So just to me, it seems what DB will go with (assuming Clive wins):

Strength - equal from the universal creation shit
Speed - edging Clive, mostly because he outruns lasers and can statue them with Zantetsuken while the best Dante gets is just reacting to lasers
Durability/Regen - edging Dante due to better regen in base and potentially being able to heal from his whole body being destroyed
Powers for the tiebreaker - Clive due to having better versions of Dante's powers with a lot more range especially thanks to Ifrit + Devil Arms are breakable while Clive's powers are innate + a few abilities Dante just doesn't have + potentially Ultima

I doubt they'll go with skill/experience since even though Dante would have a bit of an edge due to being a bit older it's pretty ambiguous how much it'd actually impact the fight since they both fight centuries old beings.

Speaking of Kamiya, I don't think Dante will win, which sucks because, as anons said during the weekend, with the results of Dante and Vergil vs Bayonetta, Sephiroth, and Clive combined, his game-verse will look weak in comparison to FF. Don't get me wrong, I know Sephiroth and Clive stomp on the Sparda twins, not saying the opposite. The Spardas have never been the top dogs of Kamiya games. But the casual DB audience will now think there are no Kamiya characters who can defeat FF top dogs because of this, when Bayonetta could've snatched the victory from Clive, Lightning, Ultimecia, Tifa, etc. Basically, Death Battle did Kamiya games so wrong, just like happened to the Bleach cast being depicted as weaker than Naruto. On an unrelated note, I'm glad that Kamiya apologized to Itagaki for a misunderstanding before he passed away. His death was very sudden. I wonder if he managed to play NG4 before his passing. We will probably never learn his thoughts about it. RIP.

I'm arguing more so that Dante has more abilities. Quality is bit of a different beast. Clive mostly wins that part, outside of maybe better passive healing in base form (kinda pointless considering Clive would get Joshua's healing magic and could just Prime into Ifrit for healing as well), maybe time manipulation (there's arguments for either form being better) and doppelganger not really having a counterpart.
But none of that really reverses the fight.

A stat brick will have a hard time getting past hax like Infinity unless their raw stats reach into the inifinite tier. Meanwhile, strong hax can beat a big stat gap pretty decisively.
