Sort of. He wanted to get paid residuals for Archie and Sega using his characters and ideas, but his main motivation was the Sonic Chronicles game, and he ended up losing that lawsuit. He was perfectly fine though with Archie using his characters as long as they paid him residuals, and a few reprint books post-lawsuit where that did happen.
