TaleSpin
Disney should have did what they did for TaleSpin more often: Put some of their characters in an outlandish alternate universe and make a show out of it.

I don't know why boomers like this show. I think it's the planes. Or Baloo. I don't know why the made a The Jungle Book character into a TV cartoon character. Or they like the kid bear, Kit.

Disny made this as a tie in to their 1990 theatrical rerelease of Jungle Book. They used to make huge deals out of their rereleases of their old movies with McDonalds toys etc.

But really after 92 or so they kind of stopped doing that and there was enough new content to make into tv tie-in series like Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Timon & Pumbaa, Hrercules etc. No need to take and old movie and make some weird show out of it any longer.

They did turn Mighty Ducks into an adventure cartoon though,

I liked it growing up and still like it to this day. Kit sucks, Molly sucks, Wildcat sucks. Shere Khan is boring. Baloo, Rebecca, and Louie are usually entertaining. Don Karnage is usually entertaining. Series is a mixed bag, some great eps, some terrible eps, a lot in the middle.
If you can't enjoy Bearly Alive, Your Baloo is in the Mail, or A Baloo Switcharoo, then sucks to be you.

The three examples of this I know are Talespin, Rescue Rangers, and Legend of the Three Caballeros
Any others?

I was born in 1999. I never watched this growing up. I never heard of this show until I was already in my 20s.

Or maybe it’s the multitude of hot furry chicks. Katy Dodd, Myra, Clementine Clevenger, Lotta L’Amore, Kitten Kaboodle, even that one librarian bear who appears in only one scene in the episode where the Khan employee is trying to take over Louie’s place. The show is a one-stop furry fap factory.

>Chip and Dale existed before Rescue Rangers
Huh. I’m old enough to remember TaleSpin but I was not old enough to know that.

They’ve been around since 1943, in Disney shorts (typically involving them plaguing Pluto or Donald) and comics.

I should know better to powerlevel, because goddamn I actually have been here forever, but same year. I watched it on TV at like the age of three, and caught it again later on the internet when I was still under the age of ten. Did your parents severely limit your internet access? Because all the 94ish - 99ers I have ever spoken to that had free reign of the internet saw all this shit. I watched Ducktales, Darkwing Duck, and Chip and Dale rescue rangers too.
