In the end she never really "lost", she's an eldritch being. To have 100% control over her host she needs initial consent, if there isn't an agreement made it turns into a battle of will. The problem for Uzi is that she only has limited willpower and attention, while Cyn has infinite patience. Uzi's attention slips and Cyn can exercise some latitude.
There is probably a threshold where if Cyn tries to use too much power Uzi would notice it, creating a computer virus that spreads by bites probably doesn't take that much though, and she only fully uses Uzi's power to scale up Red when Uzi is involved and distracted.

Maybe there are some constraints that we just aren't aware of as viewers, but you have to wonder why Cyn didn't summon up multiple J's so that she could have more than one autonomous henchman. We see that J is fairly proficient in one on one combat, which is useful in several situations, but probably less useful in a situation where it's you vs the entire universe.

I can't remember. I've only watched ep 8 once and my brain didn't want to retain it.
