A lot of people have been worried about the prospects about a new tourney on a new board being plagued by regular tourney-goers and their brainrot, so I've thought of a suggestion.

To the hosts or anyone else who may or may not be wanting to to host these tourneys on /a/, /tv/ or anywhere else, heed my words.

Do NOT announce you are doing this tourney beforehand or during it to /tnt/ or in the midst of any other tournaments. I'd ask anyone coming across the tournament to not post it to /tnt/ or any similar places either just to reduce the amount of that kind of off-board spamming coming through. When the time comes, just run it on that board.

Less interest, less drawfags, artists/OC makers want to support certain characters but 90% of the time the characters they like get taken out early, so they have to settle for choosing a powerhouse character to support for the latter half of the tournament or else they have nothing to do. I can see why a lot of creators loose enthusiasm. A lot of it feels like its done out of obligation, "oh we need to make sure we have art of the E8/finalists, etc" "Someone make sure to do that before it's too late". Aku hasn't been in an elite eight since 2021 and hasn't been able to stay in round 4 either. He lost in round 2 in 2023 and round 3 in 2024.

The thing is, ideally, people are supposed to naturally get all the big powerhouses out of the way over the first few years and then vote for their niche favorites, but obviously no one has the patience for that, everyone wants exciting Cinderella runs happening here and now. At least with Daffy'a victory there's slightly more breathing room for others now.

I know where you're coming from and I used to agree with you, but I've come to appreciate him as the unlikely hero in a world of horrors. Besides, Courage is by far the best option to represent his show. Eustace and especially Muriel are wastes of a slot IMO.
