The idea was brilliant for a time, until popularity got the best of her and it all went downhill from simple what ifs with a world of its own to multiverse shenanigans. Then bendis finale nail in the coffin by pairing her with miles dragging more attention to their relationship than her own world.

Her band is gone. Her daredevill kingpin is gone. Any story to tell with her old cast is gone. There's nothing left but gooner bait and her relationship with miles teasing in the future. So much for all the fags who kept saying she's an improvement. Now all she is remembered for is a that she's a version of gwen stacy and miles possibly-not really GF. So now she's just a shadow of the orignal but with no definitive closure or purpose.

Wasn't the entire appeal of her character her universe? Lizard Pete, her being in a band, Matt as the kingping, etc. Never read her book but I thought that was what pushed the initial sales beyond just her design being good for cosplay.
