It alright.

It not subtle or nuanced.

But, it alright.

What is this? I'm pretty sure I've seen something about this at some point, but can't recall anything about it.

Why do all Netflix Original Animated Films give off the same vibe?

Just watched this myself and...

>It alright.
Yeah, best way to sum it up. Not super fun or enthralling, but still not a bad watch.

>It not subtle or nuanced.
No. But the messages that are made very clear are still good messages, and it does dodge a fair amount of cliches or directions you think the film is going to go.

It's style is ugly, but clearly very intentional and very fitting seeing how this is an adaption of a Roald Dahl book.

Verdict: Eh, if you got time to kill, I don't see why not.

That's fair.

Funny how they didn't diversify the Twits themselves. What, are the protagonists to the story too good for that?

I know there have been Americanized Roald Dahl adaptations before, but a movie called "The Twits" should be set in Britain.

He really really hated when they put American twists on his films. Was kicked out of willy wonkas production because he hated that he was portrayed like a drunk. He stood outside The Witches premier booing it because they gave it a hollywood ending instead of the bittersweet one from the book.

He really loved the BFG animation though

Still no boy/going solo adaptations.

He was an oil worker who became a fighter pilot who then literally became James Bond before becoming a kids author

How much did they play this shit safe compared to the original book? Like do the Twits even die in this version?
