In Japan the entire medium and hobby, along with manga, is associated with maniacs and degenerates. I don’t know his exact situation, but I don’t usually imagine people as up for most kinds of work after a stroke anyway. Probably he could’ve done voice acting easier than going on tour, though. Jumping on tour like that sounds brutal. But he should’ve been able to take a break from working at all while he needed to recover.
