Gonna rant, don't read if you don't care:
Actually impossible, people consoom too much slop, which results in cutting corners in order to provide the people with their much needed slop, which in turn, causes negligence as farm land, infrastructure and factories stop caring about the build-up that mass production causes, which in turn makes the ground less fertile and impossible to grow anything, so they start using fertilizer and pesticide to speed up the progress and kill bugs at the same time, but now the food tastes lousy, so they bring it to a fancy schmancy science center so they can mimic all the chemicals that make it taste good, and sell those for a profit, but there's consequences to doing this. The lack of nutrition creates malnourished people, and these people can not work the fields at all. The slop that they farm has bitten them in the ass, but profits must continue. You absolutely require someone who doesn't eat the garbage food of your home country to come in and work the fields so you can eat your slop on time and at a cheap price
And this mythical food slop I keep mentioning? It's everything you find in America, not just one thing or two things, it's EVERYTHING
