Tried to train a Lapis lora for Noob. Gonna blogpost a bit about it. Not too bad for my first character lora I think but it's not perfect.
The Good:
It seems to understand her default outfit.
It understands her wings, well maybe not 100% but it gives you water wings consistently when you prompt wings.
Thanks to diverse dataset I curated it can gen her in wide variety of styles.
The Bad:
Lapis' hair is asymmetrical and changes shape depends on which direction she is looking. This seems to confuse AI. It's not too terrible but it seems to struggle with her hair despite the extra care I put in dataset curation.
It struggles to get Bob right. It can do her but not very consistent with outfit colors. (Pic related is cherry picked.)
The anatomical stability is lower than usual. Concerning stuff like hands.
For from behind gens, it doesn't seem to remember her gem without prompting. Even when prompting it, it doesn't seem to do water drop shape, despite seeing it during training.
Like it's serviceable but I think I want to think about what might have went wrong and try to retrain before uploading it anywhere.
