The Centre is the "Chitauri" like threat of Chapter 1. The end of Chapter 1 will be the first real "Justice" team-up movie to combat it / a modern update to The New Frontier. The Centre will be teased in Lanterns, probably stuff with Creature Commandos S2.

Salvation is not going to be a Darkseid gimmick in the movies. It's just the general premise of "prison planet that the supervillains are sent to". It allows Gunn to continue doing SS-style projects with villains (and innocent metas who are imprisoned and sent there)

Grodd will be revealed at the end of Chapter 1 as the overarching big bad of Chapter 2.

Corenswet and Hoult's contacts will end by the time Chapter 2 concludes and it will come time to: spend a lot of money to renew them when they're older, recast them and risk fan resentment, or switch gears and go in a new direction for "Ch 3" - which has not been planned yet

Gunn doesn't want to do anything that feels like "Endgame" and no "Crisis", no Multiverse. All things that have already been done with diminishing returns

Justice League vs Legion of Doom is about as big in scope as it could possibly get under his watch.

If this is true then it's a big missed opportunity. Darkseid exists outside of the multiverse. The same Darkseid from Synder's league could show up to this one after having defeated them. I actually dream of Synder's league come back in some capacity as the Justice Lords honestly.

In retrospect, jumping right to Darkseid for JL seems like a misfire for me. Like yeah, it was cool to see him in live action finally......but that was about it. He just showed up for a few minutes to look scary and set up future films that never materialized. DC was so caught up trying to play catch up with the MCU that they lost sight of what would make Darkseid such a compelling villian to begin with. They too the literal personification of tyranny itself and wasted him on what amounted to a post credits cameo.

If they're ever going to being him back, they need to do him *right* this time around.
