what i'm getting at is it makes no sense for her to describe being comfortable as being like a beach, because on a beach she definitely wouldn't be. sunlight wouldn't even be the issue outside arctic coasts, the ambient air temperature would be - much higher rate of thermal transfer with conduction, and while her fur would insulate her somewhat the issue is that her body can't expel its metabolic waste heat effectively if the air temperature is high enough.

as endotherms, we can basically cook ourselves from the inside when we overheat.
