I'm still confounded why Marvel Comics killed Norrin for MCU synergy, only to make the female Silver Surfer... a random Shield Agent OC and not Shalla-Bal. I vaguely remember that Dan Slott fucked up Shalla-Bal's character and that being the last time she was seen, but still... the fuck?

Meh, i think it worked okay in the film since it plays with Johnny being a player and him interacting with her was key to galactus defeat.
All in all, it worked out okay.

This just felt like a way to differentiate this movie more from Rise of the Silver Surfer (despite still having the ''Sue temporally dies'' ending).

It makes no damned sense and Johnny storm(he's an unironic feminine fag but just pretend) having a relationship with frankie before she becomes Galactus's Herald to save the day and loses her memory in the process would be really good.
There is no reason for there to be a female silver surfer other then complete disdain for the audience and what few fans are left.

She's not the Silver Surfer of the main continuity stream of the MCU. The Fantastic Four are leaving their Avenger-less dimension/timeline in pursuit of someone and entering the Avengers dimension.

As im sitting here at my computer in my room, there are currently 4 seperate Silver Surfers in my direct line of sight, and more elsewhere in the house. Silver Surfer probably has more fans than the Fantastic 4 themselves, and with all the cool shit she did in this movie we almost had an amazing Silver Surfer movie, which is why it's extra annoying it was wasted on Metallic Creature so that Johnny would have anything to do in the story.

My copium is that after the reset they'll make an SS film with Norrin this time while Ineson reprises his role as Galactus.
I didn't mind Shalla Bal and thought she was good in the film, but come on for a proper SS movie it's got to be Norrin.
