The one thing I hate about the discourse around social media is we never talk about how much of it was out right forced on us.
Companies outright expect you to have social media. Boomers ended up on Facebook because their employers asked them to make facebook accounts, millennials and zoomers ended up on LinkedIn because they were told that it's basically a necessity for a job when applying in-person is becoming obsolete. It is all so integrated at this point that we could face a massive economic collapse because a few social media sites go down for a few weeks.
