The main HS groups until now have been Furthest Ring (formerly HICU but likely renamed because of Hussie's attempt to restructure) and Hiveswap/HauntNeverComingOut. Furthest Ring and Hiveswap have some overlap due to labor shortages. Furthest Ring was basically Homestuck Official, the brand management side of HS, for a long time. Now with the attempted restructure spurred by the pilot, Fruit Rumpus Asshole Factory exists as an official version of MSPFA and similar sites to showcase fan content and participate in revenue sharing. Hussie apparently burned money to get this started, and Furthest Ring and Hiveswap have been helping FRAF because of, again, labor shortages. HS Official is Hussie. He has no direct fulltime employees managing HS and has not incorporated, or at least does not present himself or function as a corporation. Spindleroo exists outside of the HS Official web, other than interactions with men at the top of Furthest Ring and Hussie, who really only do that when Spindleroo wants information that everyone is legally required to share.

Maybe the Omega Kids will have more character growth when they're brought back. I think the shift to these characters is to prevent what happened to the Hiveswap team, allow for more creative freedom, and bring in new people to read a now decades old IP. Rather than having to see the adventures of characters and their descendants and wonder what's going on or why characters behave how they do then assume they have to read the super long, old, and controversial original story, new readers are incentivized to read the original story to answer the question of why these races act the ways they do.
