Hi guys, today we are setting up Happy End Game, so within the original series I Hate Fairyland, Happy End Game has Happy as the main antagonist seeking revenge against Gert for killing her (That's technically OG Gert and not nuGert, but what can you do?), within this fanwork there are 2 versions, one with 3 Happys that want to invade Fairyland, not out of revenge against the Gerts that killed them since they are dead and under their control as prisoners, but more out of a desire to kill Happy and her mom out hatred born from repulsiveness. And then there is this one, where instead of Gert being the guest that was been trapped in Fairyland for 27 years and Happy is the second guest that is needed to make the former lose her Guest immunities, here it is the opposite.

Way too late with the reply here obviously, but I actually thought about how Lila would view Crackdown specifically in the past.
At first I entertained a similar idea with her being drawn towards a violent vigilante alter-ego, but later on I started wondering if that very reason might actually be a turn-off for her (with her not appreciating how many people end up eating through a straw after meeting him even if said people are hardened criminals).
The latter option certainly plays into her naivety and trusting nature, but there are also heroes in the /co/verse that straight up kill people, as other anons rightfully pointed out, so I'm not sure which option I gravitate towards the most.

I have a meta idea.

So there's the code in GG, based on the CCA, they get to sunset characters who no longer adhere to vague moral standards. It gets beaten and shattered during Bullion.
But in real life, throughout the 60s to the 80s (more or less) when a character wasn't popular with readers (or they just wanted a sales boost) they would sometimes get killed off, which would be an order given from editorial. It happened to Doom Patrol, Jason Todd, and MJ to name a few off to the top of my head. Getting brought back later is irrelevant for what I'm getting at though.

So here's the beginnings of an idea. A character who isn't popular with readers gets their death warrant signed by editorial. However, the character IS well liked by their fellow characters who find some way to fight back.
How would characters in a story fight back against an editorial force?

Self taught, In 2021 i managed to write an entire script for a cartoon pilot to pitch to Nickelodeon for a contest for creators with diverse backgrounds and cultures. I made the script with a Canadian cultural background. (As i am a leaf.)
I wrote it with the help of my parents, they tell me the script is all me but i still consider it a family project.
I ended up not submitting the script though because Nickelodeon wanted a $300 USD submission fee and there's no way i could afford that, even if i had the money i wouldn't do it, no way i'd pay that much to anyone just just to enter a contest with the slim chance of being able to pitch my show.
Although since then i have become very disillusioned with Nickelodeon so blessing in disguise huh?
From what i know nothing came out of that contest, meaning that all the people who payed the money to submit their script wasted their money for nothing as Nickelodeon just took the $300 and sat on all of their scripts.
I feel bad for those people who just wanted a chance at making it into the industry.

I think the CCA has its hooks in her mind just the same as it does in the minds of the SoS. Maybe the Jade Empress doesn't even realize what she is after the CCA came to power? Maybe GG is still able to perceive reality as it is because her boobs came in after the CCA censored the world.

And my idea is for some time later. I guess it could work with the "edgy" entity in the 90s part of the settings. Everything has to be grim and gritty, because editorial demands it, but GGu isn't having any of it and fights back by simply being too big for them to change.

Something I noticed during Magister's Spider-Man storytimes is that prior to the Clone Saga, a recurring element in the 90s is Peter getting fed up with the new edgy heroes. Whenever he teams up with one, he's basically "I don't care how edgy you are in your own book, you work with me, you're doing things MY way." It honestly made me think of some of the spitballing we did about 90s GGu.

I have actually seen something more sinister and disgusting from DC.
You know DC's Absolute Universe comics starting from October 2nd of last year?
They stole that name from Absolute Comics, an indie comic company who launched their own publication in 2020, they even have their own Webtoon.
I found out about Absolute Comics Group a year or two ago only for DC to make their own "Absolute" comics overshadowing them, now when i try to look up Absolute Comics the indie company i see Absolute Comics the DC Universe.
Coincidence? I think not!
I found Absolute Comics Group through a friend who shared an artist's Instagram account and that's where i found the company as she made a variant cover for their flagship comic White Widow. This lady also have done work for DC meaning that multiple people i the industry, even DC and Marvel, know about Absolute Comics Group.
Am i saying that cover artist had anything to do with it? No, her Instagram is just how i found the company and an example that people in the industry know about the indie comic studio. She's also a very nice lady.
Am i saying DC comics titled their new comic universe "Absolute" to overshadow an up and coming indie studio and redirect searches with their name to them? Yes, i would not be surprised as big companies do stuff like this to smaller studios to prevent any potential competitors from growing all the time.

That must be what you're thinking about because i remember the Nickelodeon contest's only reward is that the winner gets to work for them and the entrance page asked for my credit card information. They were really asking people to pay money for a chance to work for them.
Oh i just looked it up, it was Nickelodeon's Writing Program, i must have confused it for a contest, either way the entree fee is a script and around $200-$300.
I remember when me and my parents were going over the website and we got to the point where Nickelodeon gave advice as to what stories and characters they want for a cartoon. They said they're looking for characters who are buddies, who are childlike, who relates to the kids, they wanted their main characters to either be kids or adults who act like kids, they kept using SpongeBob and Patrick as an example to the point my dad loudly exclaimed "Woah! They keep talking about SpongeBob and Patrick! Just say you want another SpongeBob and Patrick!" something along those lines, but reading just what Nickelodoen wanted was such a shocking moment for my parents as they found out that Nickelodeon are just telling up and coming aspiring writers to just give them more of what they already have.
