I think most of the biblical parallels were either a joke or coincidence at most for theorists to have their fun and mislead them of what the show was about but then again there's Caine who is the one who gets all these weird angelic/godly symbolism tied to his character (mainly talking about one merch piece as well as the few times he has been referred to as God of their world) which could mean nothing or be some weird way of his to project how he thinks of himself and the less the cast "believes" in him the less he feels sure about his existence

I'd guess 90% of /tadc/ is gonna be Jax, but probably for different reasons for each poster.
For me, like Jax, I intentionally avoid getting close to people by not taking anything seriously in social situations and putting on a "funny guy" persona. I'm more of a self-deprecating humor dude than a make fun of others guy (my jokes go over pretty well). Unlike Jax, I don't do it to avoid getting hurt, but just because emotional vulnerability and closeness makes me very uncomfortable. Basically I try to subtly deflect any conversation I'm in from becoming serious by making jokes and keeping up a casual, light-hearted atmosphere that requires as little emotional investment from me as possible.
