>first silly symphony
>it's about skeletons dancing
Someone pointed out that Carl Stalling really should have been a Disney Legend by now.
He pitched the idea for this cartoon and the Silly Symphonies series, wrote the music to this and most of Disney’s early talkies (probably not the first one though), which means he’d be the father of cartoon music even if he had never gone to Warner Bros.

That'll only happen if Bob decides to bid on WB given how Legends only seems to exist to assimilate the history of purchased companies into Disney's own now.

Uhh I don't think companies own people who have been dead for 50 years. Just because you worked for Warner Bros. after Disney I don't think that creates a legal problem with acknowledging an artist.

For some reason, these black and white cartoons delved into horror imagery more than color cartoons did.

The 1920s and 30s generally just has the best gothic film.
