Why is the cartoon called Spectacular Spider-Man when it's mostly based on the original Ultimate Spider-Man story?

Real talk:

I don't care anymore. And neither should you. About ANYTHING involving mainline Peter Parker.

The editorial has told you as much. They've told you how it is. It doesn't matter how well another book is doing or the complaints received. It doesn't matter. It still sells.

So I suggest we, and by we I mean people who are tired of this just to make it clear I'm not speaking for every single fan of Spidey, just give up. They won. Stop giving them money for new mainline Peter Parker. Stop talking about the new stories. The Peter we knew and want to see again is gone, and long gone.

It's over. Enjoy Miles for as long as you can before their sights turn on him and Ultimate for as long as that lasts. But stop giving them your money for the current slop they push out for Peter Parker.

Just wave the white flag and walk away. You never know, it might actually work. And if it doesn't, you've saved yourself a few bucks every month.

Spectacular Spider-Man is my favorite superhero show of all time. Some of the changes they did are controversial, but most of them work. And some of the episodes are very creative. My favorite one definitely is Intervention. It was streamed yesterday but sadly I couldn't be there.

And just like the other anons said, he also has (had) a lot of good comics. People that say this isn't true forget that for many decades most of his comics were great and influental, and had a lot of runs considered to be some of the greatest ones of all time. I'll always prefer the Ditko run, Spidey's first stories, probably my favorite comics in general. Just like the other anon said, If This Be My Destiny is outstanding, specially back then. As a whole, Spider-Man was very unique and complex in the 60s, it's what made him so popular. You don't understand how much I like him

Hi all, Psy here off-trip. I'm currently at a friend's house with his kids. He had a death in the family Wednesday and he didn't want them to have their Halloween totally ruined while he's getting the funeral arrangements set up, and of course grieving.
