What do you guys think it's the reason his game got abandoned? The old ad makes it seem that the game was near ready to launch if it was already advertising it's own main selling point (Caine) but it seems more like it was stuck going loops in development hell and maybe it stopped being worked on and left to rot once the first human got stuck inside while the company went under for some reason, it's so weird

Also maybe it's just what it looks to me but it doesn't seem that Caine holds grudges towards his developers/company, he looks like he misses them and has something like nostalgia for them but maybe it's cuz he is under the idea that they'll come back, he also seems subconsciously aware of time and degradation affecting his assets (the dirty looking computer) maybe as a way his mind is trying to nudge him into letting go of it but who knows
