Why dont conservatives just make more cartoons, if they're so tired of woke? Or would they rather stay the "victim" of media bias? There are good conservative cartoons like Morel Orel and King of the Hill. And even hacks like Elon tried, but seems like the rest of the conservative media project isn't that interested.

In order to write compelling stories, you need to be willing to fully embrace and consider other perspectives outside your own. You have to fully understand why the fascist is a fascist from their own perspective, and you have to do the same with the communist, the capitalist, the anarchist, etc. A conservative is generally incapable of this. The same generally goes for the libleft, (there are outliers, but their works generally are very surface level). That means the main political positions capable of making good art are libertarians and communists. The issue with libertarian art is that the libertarian philosophy is in its basic form evil and selfish, and few libertarian artists are honest enough to just admit that they want to take everything from other people, so a lot of their art comes off as dishonest, full of appeals to authority despite being anti authority. This leads to leftist artists, who are generally the best at this stuff because they’re obsessed with having the correct worldview, so much so that leftist philosophies are as splintered as the many branches of the Christian church, because the leftists are obsessed with the minutiae of their positions. This doubles with the fact that leftism is essentially dead in the west, so a person who is a leftist almost certainly took a journey around the political compass to get there, which is very different when compared to most liberals and conservatives. They know how another side thinks because they used to be that person (this also makes them a bit insufferable). Basically your best bet at making good art involves obsessively destroying your worldview a hundred times over.

Take picrelated for example. Any normal person would have come to the conclusion that the blackboard is saying that Shady Sands is nuked on 2277 since the story previously established that Shady Sands was nuked thus "the Fall of Shady Sands" refers to the nuking which takes place on 2277. However, this contradicts the events of the Fallout: New Vegas which is stated to be canon to the show.

Death of the Author would take an extreme Watsonian approach to justify this instead of admitting the writers are just really incompetent. Or it could say that the show takes place in an alternate timeline regardless of what Todd or Pete said. Both work on the assumption that we are looking at a portal to another world and we are just interpreting it incorrectly. Both are also wrong.
