Did people want an Octopus Pie thread? It has been a minute since there was one. I wish there was another Halloween comic I could post from of it, but I don't think Gran ever did another one. I wish there was more Halloween themed art of the characters. I think there's one out there with current Eve dressed up with her kid, but I can't find it.
Since its November, I'll post the Thanksgiving one since it's super short 1/2

I like that Gran kinda leaned into the sex more in her work, actually working to really get the intimacy right. I feel like she does it well, but doesn't overdo it to the point it's gratuitous and doesn't really do anything for the story. I hope she does that in the game too, since it seems like Mara actually apparently got laid at some point according to the demo and the first storyline is she has to write about sex.

Not gonna lie, I was kinda salty when Marek and Hanna broke it off, but I've been warming up to Larry. It seems like their relationship is volatile but somewhat steady? Plus, I guess since he fucked guys and girls, he's perfect for Hanna since she's built like a twink with tits lol

I love how Hanna is clearly into guys with beards and was so ready to jump into the thrill and adventure of life with Larry, where they fuck in the woods in a van and drift around. The girl needed it, especially considering the bullshit on her life in The Other Side. I also love the intimacy of these panels and those early pages, Hanna hugging and massaging Larry, clearly enjoying his company and probably the first real romance she had since Marek.

Eve with the gun always makes me chuckle. A lot of the details really feel like a time capsule. Also interesting that even in this gag storyline Marek continues to give Will the cold shoulder.

To actually answer your question, if you have a wide group of friends/acquaintance in a large city, and are in your mid 20s? Then yes this absolutely can happen.

It's really not that tiring as Octopus Pie would lead you to believe since the story jumps different perspectives in these dramas.

The core group I always considered was Eve, Hanna, and Marek, though Marek has seemingly been replaced with Will since the breakup. Honestly, I think it's just the main three have different friend groups that kinda meshed together based on context but never really were deeply friends besides that. Like, a few of the characters from the Halloween storyline were introduced alongside Ian Jones-Quartley's character who appeared then disappeared after the Stoner vs Nerds arc. Even Eve's old old friends pretty much call her out for never talking to them.

Eve killing herself is always funny to me and I like that Meredith is basically committed to making Eve suffer cartoonish levels of violence, even to the recent arcs.

I always kinda assumed it was because he thinks Will wants to bang Hanna...which seems kinda true but now he's pretty much unable to keep his hands off Eve. Even if Hanna offered and Eve was supportive of it, I don't think he'd go for it.
