AI isn’t going to overtake their jobs, it’s already built into most people contracts and the industry revolt if they did would be overwhelming. Also the AI bubble will probably burst soon anyway and the fad will die out

can somebody explain this controversy to me, all he said was that if you have a character of a certain race maybe have them voiced by someone of that race, obviously in many cases it comes through in their voice, and if it doesn't they deserve the jobs

AI bubble has already burst, or at least completely stagnated. There is no new development on AI because it has already reached it's peak limits and public interest.

I suck shit at voice acting but for a quick $10 I'd sell the legal rights to my voice any day, I would assume that thereafter they would have profiles on the actors used by the AI and each has a race.

Because after going all in on matching VA and character race/ethnicity he complained about his agent and productions only offering him roles for Asian characters. Unfortunately, yes. Not that I have any sympathy for AI or those actively involved with it, but it became the 'hip new thing' for investors. If I recall, the inflation-adjusted amount of money that's going to be lost when the final rug pulls is ~17x the amount of the loss incurred during the Dotcom Bubble, and 4x the amount lost during the Subprime Mortgage Crisis. I have family who rely on their 401k's, and I have retirement funds of my own. They'll be decimated when (not if) this happens. I guess the only appreciable difference will be that I'm expecting it to happen and don't plan on these things being available to me in my old(er) age.
