How do you feel knowing it’s been over four years since the Pibby pilot released?

Makes me glad it wasn't picked up. It was a fun April Fool's short but making it an actual show wouldn't have worked out, and the ideas the creator has shared show that he really didn't have a great plan for it in the first place.

I reminded this existed when a few days ago some fan channel on YouTube uploaded a animation based on the first episode storyboard. I watched the trailer when it came out and didn't think too much about, I knew it got a fandom but I didn't engage with it and didn't even know there was a counter fandom also.
Watching the fan made pilot and the rewatching the trailer I thought it was a cool idea

I liked how in the pilot Pibby just couldn't see the obvious differences in the scenery and had to rely on the audience like Dora, so she just cheats and breaks the second picture to move on already. I don't know about the other episodes but the cat lady villain would probably learn to be nice and the sidekick to not always rely on the main character I guess?
Yeah, I could see around 4 episodes on this. The pilot had the internet slang and emoji thing which was stupid, it anywhere on the trailer which makes me think if it was ever picked they'd simply be drop it which would be a good example of executive meddling, sadly it being Warner we're talking about they'd probably want to reference Ultra Instinct Shaggy instead.
I also saw the creator posted some art that implied they would have to kill the characters that got corrupted, that I'd drop as well

I don't even like this thing and I'm not really sad that it didn't get greenlit, but I do think it's fucking stupid how [as] never did anything to bank off of its popularity. Like the fact they didn't ever try to do ANYTHING with it seems like a huge missed opportunity for making money.
