I liked the first movie, but it being expensive to make and not making enough money back is what led to them not making Season 4 until the '10s, and when that failed, they stuck to doing live shows. We already have the Christmas special, what do we need to retread with the Christmas movie? Christmas movies don't make a lot of money if it isn't from a well established IP.
