People always shit on the Disney Princes, but Philip is the only one of them that actually has a presence and is memorable

you only think that because he threw the magic sword at the memorable dragon villainess

Do you think Prince Philip could defeat Giant Snake Jafar?

On his own power no, but if the fairies are allowed to enchant his sword to appropriate counter magic sure.

He became redundant after Prince CHADMING became everyone's favorite classic Disney Prince.

>part giant/orc
>dashing prince
>ready to drop his arranged marriage to fuck off and be with Aurora in the middle of the woods
>an absolute madman (he was willing to fight Maleficient BEFORE he got the upgrades from the fairies)

I can see why women like him at Disneyland. He's like THE Disney love interest who is classically heroic without getting slapped with the "heroic = boring" label.

Do Aladdin, Flynn Rider and The Beast not count as Disney Princes? Because they're the most prominent and memorable by far.

What?

They all should. It would be weird if they're not, considering all three are canonically princes.

I remember /co/ discussing Phillip before. Apparently in Perault's take on the story, the prince's mother is actually an ogre (not an orc/giant, sorry).

Aladdin uses magic and is not BORN a prince, could have sworn Beast was aristocrat. And Flynn counts, but I was talking about the Princes up to the Renaissance era. So it's Philip and Beast then

I wonder if Beast's Family used to own the village Belle is from?

That being said, it is weird that no one really investigated the disappearance of so many people in the animated version. Maybe Beast's Family just didn't care for the social circles of the French nobility?

Some bullshit from the original story that doesn't apply to the Disney version.
The actual movie has so little to it that anons usually just make their own shit up and bring up stuff from different versions, same applies to Aurora.

doing ONE (1) thing in the movie still makes him better than mr. "lol I showed up at the end randomly to kiss the girl in the coma" and mr. "I'll just let the duke find her lol"

Given the time period the sudden unexplained disappearance of so many people in a remote location is less "we've got a mystery on our hands, gang" and more "lock the gates and put up signs warning of plague."

The servants and their families lived in the castle so they're pretty self contained. Granted, the villagers who sold goods to the castle would have noticed right away since that's a big part of their business.

The most logical answer is that the castle wasn't actually the administrative center of the local area. Given the lack of concern by the locals the castle was more than likely a hunting lodge and the Beast's family nobility due to military rather than civil service.
