I don't know. In terms of characters, Molly was great, Libby was good, and Andrea was mostly wasted potential. Other potentially interesting characters like Tammy or the twins are never utilized at all.
Molly's family is pretty boring. Just the typical generic "incompetent weak dad/strong girlboss mom" Disney combo, and the little brother character who is a non-entity.

As for the ghosts, Scratch started out being the best character on the show when he was genuinely mischievous, but he was quickly flanderized into a wuss that only cared about eating food. His moronic buddy was tolerable until they suddenly made him a faggot in the second season. The other ghost characters were pretty forgettable or annoying and the only threatening one (Chairman) was clapped quick, so yeah, it would have been better off keeping that whole side of the show more mysterious and distant.

Hailey's Floppin It was basically somewhere between TGAMM s1 and 2 in quality. I actually enjoyed a few of its episodes more when they are airing concurrently, but overall Molly was the better looking and actually funny show. Hailey was not really as episodic as Molly nor as serialized as TOH/Amphibia, it was somewhere inbetween, but they spent the entire second half of the season building up to the dance episode finale which ended up being a load of pajeet street-shit.

Yeh that was always super weird to me. I like how early on he was dead set on proving Molly wrong about being positive all the time, and would even try to make things harder on her, since he couldn't get rid of her. He almost feels like one of those Disney animal sidekicks until the last episode, kinda sucks. I wish Brighton was a lot more spooky in general instead of some generic midwestern town. Andrea is literally not even the same character anymore from how they originally intended to write her in the test material. When they were intending to release this show all the way back in 2005 and then for some reason decided not to they basically took a sand blaster and carved down everything from her original personality until nothing but sawdust remained. Then when they wanted to "start fresh" they lacked the time to get around to that because with all the material we found for Andrea's "character arc" they felt like they had a whole lot planned for her, then scrapped it all, then when they wanted to start over they got one sentence in and stopped caring again.

Someone sat down and said "people like this character but its better they like this character while not understanding we have nothing seriously planned for this character."

Tammy went thru a similar problem. I know fans of this show hate the Pacifica comparison but overtime its just ridiculous people think this is only a coincidence

I ask this every single time a new Slop of Life cartoon drops yet writers cannot for the life of them help themselves. See they cant just organically appreciate that fans like their characters for how they act in the moment. The goal shouldnt be to change or explore beyond that unless you have a real good idea for a story.
