It was actually popular. It was like one of their most watched adult animated show, beating out shit like Big Mouth that got *checks notes* 101 episodes across 10 seasons.

One can only imagine how much developmental work and excitement had been building for those ~6 months from June 2022 to January 2023...

Honestly, this show was so boring and disappointing. dated references by the time it came out. shitty world building, annoying supporting cast.

It's like a pretty bad futurama with zero of the charm and -100% of the heart. I was so excited for it also because I actually enjoy the concept quite a bit and it could have be done right. Now I'm just glad it's gone. The show peaked at mediocre but most of the time was bellow it. the only episode that comes to mind when I think about it is they trying to riff on people liking the 80's 5 years to late to be relevant and the entire argument was that racist people existed back them like a bunch of psychos an the episode were she fucks an random guy on Vatican because I tough in the end she was just a slut sad for herself and the only thing keeping herself from getting a decent life was her own victim mentality, and that I could get her to send me naked pictures if I really really tried if she was a real girl.

I hate this show more for the fact it made me care for something so mid over being actually bad. That must be how females feel after being used for sex for a guy who is not even that hot.

It def felt like a lesser Futurama anytime the whole Cognito team interacted with each other. I watched a lot of that show around the same time after its Hulu revival had been announced, and with Inside Job being fresh on my mind, the comparisons were easy to make and it left me that much more appreciative of how clever and better-constructed comedy writing was in early 2000s adult cartoons, back when writers had to try harder due to stricter network standards instead of today's common practice of going for easy pop culture references and dropping 50 F-bombs per episode.

Inside Job had tons of heart, don't get it twisted, but it's likely the Brett/Reagan and Rand/Reagan moments made many forget about all the rougher aspects that hopefully would've been ironed out had Season 2 still happened.

I love garbage, I eat it up, slopping myself, i would fuck if I could, rawdogging all night, play biting and slapping, making sure it feels loved and wanted, pulling the hair and whispering the most nasty and romantic shit down to it's ears with my rasp deep voice, trusting alway in the dark, the only thing outside my whispers you can even hear is the slapping moaning and grutting. my favorite show ever is fucking total dramarama. Inside job? Mediocre riding the dick of the star cast that actually worked on something good. Remove the Gravity Fall nepotism from it and it would just be another show some anons shills but no one remembers in 3 years tops.

It's funny cause Inside Job is just as generic as any other stiffly-animated millenial Rick & Morty clone, but this time people gave it attention cause "*GASPS*, OH MAH GOD, GRAVITY FALLS ALUMNI MADE IT, THIS WILL TOTALLY DO THE ANIMATION INDUSTRY GOOD", when in reality had it become a success it would've just encouraged people to make more generic stiffly-animated writer-driven adult cartoon slop, just like Big Mouth and Wojack Redditman did. Netflix's algorithm is more than just show watches. It's also rewatches too. Netflix's market is based on people who sub to have shit on in the background while they're on their phone or keep their kids entertained

So if a show is popular but people only watch it once or don't use it as a jumping in point for other netflix content then they don't see the value in renewing it.
