Okay. I'll admit it's hard to not make assumptions based on normal story tropes and shit, which is dangerous when it comes to Viv and her special brand of retardation. Generally sifting out all the bullshit is hard enough. I'm also dealing with people who have a degree or two of separation, but the leaks I'm hearing makes a lot of sense, and just little details start to reinforce what we already know the more that comes out.
Like Alastor goading Lucifer with the 'Dad' shit last season seems outta nowhere stupid superficially and doesn't seem to make much sense. But when you consider it from the perspective that Alastor is manipulating everyone from the start to escape his deal with Rosie, (killing her seems like an obvious way), then it seems like he basically manipulated Lucifer into killing Adam too, (someone more powerful than Alastor), by 'making' Lucifer protect Charlie. Then you go back and look at the "Fuck you", and Alastor's strange 'rivalry' with Lucifer in a different light. It looks like he's intentionally trying to manufacture paternal jealousy for a reason:

In this season a lot of set up threads start coming into play. Alastor's deal with Charlie, Lute's issues, Alastor's established servitude, his rivalry with Vox, (why didn't Alastor join the Vees exactly?)
It's like in this season, when Alastor seems like he's losing when he's captured by Vox, he's actually winning because it's all part of his master plan.
Also little leaked details like Cannibal Town basically being wiped off the map this season as a result of the battle convinces me that Rosie is actually dead and Alastor is truly free. So instead of being Joker-2'd as people have been suggesting, he becomes a bigger threat, the ongoing big bad, or at least the 'phantom menace'.
Then when you go back it makes sense they'd set up what was otherwise pretty boring Cannibal Town and Rosie last season in retrospect.
