Kind related, but I recently went to the very last page of Animaniacs art, number 57 currently, on e621. Stuff uploaded circa 2007-2010.
I came to the sad realization that several of the artists are now dead. But, they were alive when the art was uploaded.
It makes me feel very sad, all those "toon" artists I found online in my younger years, early to mid 2000s, started dropping off in the 2010s and it just keeps on happening. Eventually that entire first generation of furry/porn smut artists will be gone.
I never thought about that back in the day. They were all just there. But if they were in their late 20s, 30s, 40s, or 50s back 25 years ago, well you can do the math...many of them got fucked by cancer. Some didn't take care of themselves.
No more new art, no old pics perhaps posted that were new to us. Just nothing. I fear when they die so much of their art, digital or trad, just gets tossed in the garbage. Moreover if they were single/lived alone.
I just wanna go back to a time of porn sites/groups and them being alive. I never knew how good the era was until it was gone.
