The whole thing with Sadida was fucking wild and surprised me a few times, it was one of the highlights of the series for me. Iop’s contingency was kind of hard to wrap my head around the first time, but it’s kind of fun seeing him not being /that/ retarded after all but still being a horny/lazy piece of shit worthy of Greek mythology.

Especially with volumes 4 and 5, this has really been one big demonstration of how fucked up everyone is in this setting, even the supposed good guys. Otomai’s experiments, Ogrest’s self-centered obsessions getting his friends/lover/the world killed, the whole brotherhood of psychos (seriously, what did Oropo hope to achieve with those lunatics?), yet more gods raping mortals… Klobar is probably the only one who’s reasonably clean, though Lupa’s heart is also in the right place for the most part and I enjoyed her arcs.

In a way, it has been nice to see Kali actually do something as opposed to the anime, but man what a self-important cunt.
