Posted this on the Newgrounds /hyw/ too, don't know which is the canonical location.

"A webcomic about a girl in a fantasy world trying to fix things she shouldn't". I think of it as things are played relatively seriously, but comedy comes from character interactions. I enjoy writing dialogue. Plot so far, while at boarding school, a princess discovers her country has been placed in a force field, so she breaks in to figure out what's going on, to the chagrin of everyone inside.


Format is inspired by Kid Radd, though instead of doing HTML tables, I'm absolutely positioning images in a div. Has been a lot of fun both making the art and doing the coding behind it.


Webpage may unfortunately be unoptimized right now, that's one of the biggest things I've been struggling with (besides a bit of CSS at 421 that never seems to do exactly what I want). Hopefully it isn't too noticeable.

Honestly i don't think you're the real LaundryMom, but eh, oh well, i guess he'll see this soon enough anyway.
What i wanted to show the guy is that i decided to make fanart of his characters.
He you can see i drew his nun character.
I messed up with her hands and i regret how poorly i drew the cross on her rosary but other than that i think this turned out OK.
And yes i did draw her chest smaller due to personal Christian reasons but i feel it helps make the drawing feel less cramped. Her body looks weird yes but i was never able to properly draw human anatomy.
But i do think i managed to do a good job drawing her face and head, looks just like her!
I also admit to using my edit as reference.

I apologize for the quality of the screenshots i took of my drawings.
On the other side of the paper i drew a head portrait of the main character. I don't know the relationship between the two characters but i think having them back to back like this is cool and kind of symbolic, depending on what their relationship really is.
For this one i used an image of her from the first issue of the comic as reference.
I am better at drawing head portraits than entire bodies. Faces and heads are easy to me as you can tell from the nun drawing.
As you can see i managed to stay true to her face but i didn't do a good job with drawing her left eye and i accidentally made her neck too thick.
But other than that i know i did a good enough job.
Despite what i have said about the comic i really do know that LaundryMom is able to design some beautiful women, in fact this character in the most beautiful woman i have seen in all of HYW, i was even surprised that she was younger than i thought she was and i mean that in the best way possible. I just feel that if the guy wants a SFW audience then he should be SFW.

Well as everyone can see here i am able to draw, not the best but still quite decent, and like we say on /mmg/ the quality of the drawing doesn't matter much if it's a fun manga/comic, just look at ONE and One Punch Man.
Despite being able to draw, in fact i can draw my own comic any time i want. i just don't because, like i keep saying, God has put me and my creativity into hibernation and The Holy Spirit doesn't want me to share my concepts and ideas with the world yet.
But i am able to help people with their creativity as well as mention what i already shared to the public before becoming more devoted to Christ but that's it.

Oh i forgot to mention, i drew this one in around seven minutes.
I know how long it took for each drawing as i was listening to a vaporwave album while drawing them and i remembered when i started and finished drawing each of them in accordance to the song time. Not exact but roughly.

I am the same guy, I have a million original ideas, but decided to ignore all those ideas and launch and complete the first chapter of 6 of my original comics that I haven't made yet before the year ends, but I dont think I am going to make it so sticking to the plan seems kind of pointless now because each chapter is 30 pages, part of the plan, and even making pages daily like I have been I dont think I am going to make the goal I had planned too, but i just came up with the goal 2 months ago and already have 2 comics complete so it's an eyes bigger than your stomach kind of deal lol.

There is literally no way this isn’t made for anything other than easy views, there isn’t a hint of artistic vision of passion whatsoever.

By all means, if someone wants to make actual garbage for money, all the more power to them. But this story always ends the same way. Eventually they’ll want to be taken seriously and the fanbase will not be there. When you sell your sole to back hah of the day trash, you can never go back to being artistic, you have to make your bed and lie in it

He's blatantly and openly destroyed his credibility so many times over it's utterly unreal. He's even aware of it, hence the whole "Apocalypseanon" episode. He finally recognized at that point that he had shit the bed and what was his response? To do it again. As much as we’d all like to believe “I’d succeed if only I did ___” the fact of the matter is that it’s truly impossible to manufacture success. You can pour millions into marketing and research and still come up with a dud.
For whatever reason, the Elf comic has managed to find an audience and for the time being continues to grow.

Don’t take the success of others personally. Just because the Elf is succeeding does not mean they’re doing something low effort or soulless, nor does it mean that you will never find comparable success. You do not know their circumstances, no do you see any struggles that may be occurring behind the screen.

I personally know people with majorly successful works who are still broke and looking for a full time job.

I genuinely wish for anyone who tries to follow their dreams of being a creator to succeed. Just because you find it low quality doesn’t mean they aren’t breaking their back to make it. Just because you think they’re egotistical doesn’t mean they’re not terrified people will hate everything. Success can be its own curse.

You can still make it. You can still succeed, but for that to happen to you need to be willing to succeed for you, and be willing to define success in your own way. Making $1 million dollars is not the only measure of success, and not all success happens quickly.
